German investigators found out the cause of the leaks at Nord Stream, - media
Experts took underwater pictures of gas leaks on the Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream 2 pipelines, which indicate that the damage could only have been caused by the use of explosives.
It is reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to ARD.
According to the publication, German federal police explosives experts and divers were working at the scene. They lowered a drone to the bottom, with the help of which they took pictures of damage to pipelines.
ARD notes that the gas leak is 8 meters in diameter. In this case, both pipelines have two damages. Only one line of Nord Stream 2 remained intact.
Sources in German government circles told the publication that, according to the conclusions of German investigators, "the leak could only have occurred as a result of an explosion."
At the same time, the police have already handed over the pictures to the prosecutor general, who a few days ago launched an investigation on charges of "creating an explosive device" and "anti-constitutional sabotage."
Recall, on September 27, it became known that several gas leaks were discovered on the Russian pipelines Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream 2 in the Baltic Sea.
Later, Swedish seismologists suggested that such damage could be caused by underwater explosions.
