UEFA President: "We see no reason to remove Belarus"
Aleksander Čeferin commented in an original way on the public's request to punish the accomplice of the Russian Federation
UEFA President Aleksander Ceferin commented on the public's request to remove the Belarusian national team on the same principle as the Russian national team:
“It’s a bit populist to demand: “Remove everyone!” At the moment we see no reason for this. If something changes, we will definitely respond. Politicians must respect our decision-making authority. We don't tell politicians what they should do."
It should be noted that according to the decision of UEFA, Belarus must hold home matches outside the country and without spectators, however, it participates in all ongoing and upcoming competitions under the auspices of the union.
Earlier, UEFA also provided assistance to the Belarusian Football Federation.
